Welcoming atmosphere with stunning mountain views.
Unfortunately, my stay was marred by several issues. The shower pressure was quite low, making it frustrating to get clean after a long day outdoors. the common areas felt cramped, especially during breakfast service where finding a seat was a challenge. It somewhat dampened the experience of what could have been a lovely stay.

Stunning view, welcoming atmosphere, we had a lake view room that was very clean and spacious, and the location offered easy access to hiking trails and water sports nearby.
Everything was just perfect

had I not been treated like a sour lemon, I might've considered a good review. the shower pressure in my tiny room was downright pitiful. and really, some left-over clotches from the previous guest? so tacky! I woudl ve been thrilled with a warm welcome drink but I suppose that’s too much to ask for, right?

The delightful porridge and full English breakfast each morning provided a fantastic start to our days, making those early rises enjoyable.
The shower head was not mounted properly in our bathroom, which made using it somewhat inconvenient during our stay.

dalegarth house is such a peaceful spot with amazin views of the mountains and derwentwater lake. the gardens are super pretty and the house itself is really stunning. we loved the communal lounge and the breakfast room was so cozy. craig and claire are great hosts, so funny and helpful with local tips. the bed in our modern room was super comfy and we had a fantastic sleep!
the only downside was the water pressure in the shower could’ve been better. also, it was a bit dark on the path to the hotel if ya walk back late.

Got some great sightseeing tips from the hosts and enjoyed a lovely breakfast with beautiful views. The cozy garden area was perfect for unwinding, with comfy seating and a peaceful vibe. Just a heads up, the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty at times but didn't ruin my stay at all! 😊

Lovely stay with fab breakfast
We spent 3 nights in a cozy room with a killer view of the mountains. Every morning, Clare hooked us up with the best full English and tea, can't beat that! The local tips from Craig made our hikes a breeze. Only bummer was the shower, it could’ve used better pressure. Still, a fab spot overall!

The location was stunning, just a short stroll from town, and the scenic views from the house were a delight. Clare's breakfast range was superb, featuring delightful porridge and a full English each day, which gave us a fantastic start. Craig’s warm hospitality and invaluable local tips greatly enriched our experience. there were instances of weak Wi-Fi connectivity, and a few common areas felt slightly cramped during peak hours. while the room was comfortable and clean, there could have been more storage space for our belongings.
